From 2021 to 2023 I was a Propulsion Development Engineer at Ursa Major in Berthoud, CO.
Hadley Test
As a Test Development Engineer, I was responsible for the development test campaign of the Vacuum (In the Void or ITV) variant of Hadley. This included restarting the engine multiple times without operator intervention or inspections, something that had never been done at Ursa.
Hadley R&D
Throughout my time at Ursa, I promoted technology development on Hadley. I fired Ursa's first copper chamber (shown left), fired chambers with thermal barrier coatings and turbopump impellers, and developed on-engine test campaigns for new Hadley igniters and improved engine start sequencing.
